Several months ago I officially resigned from Dante’s Gypsy Circus. It was hard to do…so hard that it took me an entire year to realize that it’s what I needed to do, and then actually commit to, well, no longer committing. What does this mean? Some have thought that I’ve stopped dancing altogether; while this was true at first (I had burned out hard), I’m back in the saddle and taking a ballet/jazz class to reignite my first love (ballet). I think it’s important to keep yourself inspired, no matter how you find that inspiration.

Now, I’m looking forward to taking a poi spinning workshop in a couple of weeks. Even though I don’t intend to perform any more, it’ll be fun just to meet more spinners and learn some new tricks.

I’m also happy to announce that I’m working on a book about my adventures as a fire dancer/mom/professional. I’ll start sharing bits and pieces of it here with you. 🙂 Tell me what you want to read about, or if you know me beyond the screen, share your favorite memories of past shows or experiences! There are so many stories to tell; each could be its own novella.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. 🙂

Peace, love and fire,
Cherie Dawn
