So, makeup for the stage has been one of my biggest personal obstacles. Lucky for me, there are several talented (and beautiful) women in my life who’ve been able to guide me into putting on a face that’s proper to perform in!

make up Clinique Maybelline Urban Decay lipstick concealerRecently I tried Revlon’s Colorstay lipstick, and it blew me away by staying on through an entire evening – I highly recommend it!

Another love that I’ve recently found is Maybelline’s Cover Stick Corrector Concealer. It’s green – and so I guess I’ve always overlooked it, but a friend recently let me borrow her Clinique color corrector, and it’s a true asset to one’s makeup case! I guess the green neutralizes any reddish blemishes that one has…whatever the case, it works. 🙂

While we’re on the topic of makeup, I have to tell you about another item that’s more pricey than Revlon or Maybelline, and you can’t find it in your local grocer – but it’s worth the special trip to your local Sephora. It’s Urban Decay’s “All Nighter” spray, and it held my face together through not one, but two performances on this recent July evening in Cincinnati. Again, a must-have if you’re under the lights, dancing in layers of fabulous costuming, for example.

So, go shopping! Get pretty, and feel wonderful. I have to admit that while I’m not typically in any makeup, the Colorstay lipstick has made me feel extra pretty these past few days. 🙂

Peace, Love, and Dance,
Cherie Dawn
